5 Tips to Success In and Out Of The Gym

I believe that there is always going to be those times in your life that you’re fed up, and you’re tired. But, simply thinking about being out of shape isn’t going to do shit for you. It’s time to take action and write down your goals (Google: S.M.A.R.T Goals). I’m not here to blow smoke up your ass, it’s going to suck. If you want to change then your daily habits need to change. If you need to stop hanging around with some people, then do it!

I took some time away from the gym, and i noticed some key points that helped me when I started up again. Heres some tips to help you stay on track:

  1. Start eating healthier, smaller portioned meals. Prepping your food, and sticking to the plan is the toughest part. The exercising part is where the fun is!
  2. Write down your goals. (Smart, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic for you, Time measured.
  3. Write down how you’re going to accomplish them. (What kind of training, etc.)
  4. Track your progress on a monthly basis.
  5. Stay focused, but be patient. take the first step

Supplement Of The Month – APS MESOMORPH

MESOMORPH_rocketpopThis week i headed over to One Stop Nutrition, out here in Awhatukee, Arizona. I was checking out all the pre workout’s, and I decided to go with APS’s “Mesomorph” Ultimate Pre-workout Complex. This supplement was brought to my attention by a class mate i had military training with. Anyhow, the flavor is, “rocket-pop” which tastes just like a popsicle.

I go to take a scoop, and it probably took about 15-20 minutes to kick it. As soon as it kicked in , everything immediately became clear, and I was really urged to start my workout. In my workout, I’m noticing i had a phenominal pump compared to usual. I definetely stayed concentrated on my time between sets, and finishing each set.

So if i was to grade this supplement on a scale of 1-10, I’m going to have to go with a 9. It was one of those preworkouts, that really gets your shit going, and keeps you focused until the finish.

Are you really living up to your full potential?

Do you honestly believe you’re giving it all you got? We all have goals, but are we all legitimately doing every thing we can to attain what we want? I believe your success comes with hard work, habit, surrounding yourself with the right people, and making the right choices.

If it is our goal to run two miles in under a thirteen minute time frame, then we should probably create a plan to help us get there, right? If we decided we were going to make a cherry pie, then we would have to find out the recipe or how to make it if we didn’t know how right?
That goes with everything we don’t know how to do. Don’t stop with a vision, or a goal, because you don’t know how to do something. I used to hear it quite often as a matter of fact. I constantly would hear soldiers saying, “I want my body like this, but….”, or “I really want to do better on my push-ups, but….”, or “I don’t have time because i work late. ” I will be the first to tell you, you’re so full of shit, and just be honest with yourself, and look at the mirror because you’re lazy. Any thing worth having in our lives does not come easy. The pain goes away, your body will get used to it. The pride of being a fit individual lasts forever. Once you get there, all it is, is maintenance. The hard part is getting your ass up, and eating what you’re suppose to. Don’t sell yourselves short. We all have one life, how do you want to be remembered? Do you want to be old as hell, and go back and look over your life, and say, “I wish I would have done that!”? Don’t stop until you get what you want. Wolf On Wallstreet Quote

Get Up & Get After It!

I’ve been seeing many of posts via Facebook about how some of my friends are going to change, and start working out. Except i see them in pictures at the bar, or taking pictures of all types of junk food they’re eating. Im going to be the first to say, “You are full of shit.” The only way you’re going to change your body, and circumstance in your life is by taking action.

One good or bad thing that can make or break your goal is habit. The toughest part about getting back into shape is the first few weeks of getting used to a solid routine. You should be prepping your food, having a set time you go to the gym, and following a good workout plan. Once you take those first few weeks to fall into a great ritual. You will want to go everyday! Its already halfway though january, and i know some of you have’t did a single workout. Lets get after our goal, and get on to the next one.

Concentrating on your goals.

Concentrating on your goals is a lot like having a relationship with a woman. If you love her, devote to her, never cheat on her, and stay loyal to her it will be a beautiful thing. If you aren’t persistent, and you’re not focused, you will lose sight on what you want, ultimately setting you back from completing your goal. So stay loyal, and focused on your goals, and you can do anything you put your mind to.

Top 10 ways to kick start your gym life

Now that the holidays are done, and over with. Its time to evaluate where we are physically, and figure out how much we would like to improve. Here’s 10 tips to improve your gym life this year.

1.) Determine your goal. “What do you want your body to look like? What are you training for, a marathon, powerlifting, crossfit, bodybuilding competition, or even just to look good?”
2.) Design a workout plan to cater toward your goal.  If you don’t know where to start, apply yourself, go online to fitness websites such as bodybuilding.com, or hire a personal trainer.
3.) Find a workout partner that has similar goals as you.
4.) Make a playlist of music that will motivate you/pump you up.
5.) Go online and find the proper supplements to cater toward your goals if you think it’s necessary.
6.) Eat clean, and train dirty. Discipline, and great habit will pay off toward your goals.
7.) Stay consistent. Success will not happen overnight ladies, and gents. It will take sweat, hard work, and consistency. So, be patient, and stay strong!
8.) Don’t be scared. Everyone needs to start somewhere, and everyone won’t lift the same amount of heavy weights, or run 10 miles straight.
9.) Grab some gym gear. “When you look great, and feel great, you will be great.”
10.) Shower yourself in motivation everyday. YOU are in the gym for YOUR own reasons. When you have the feeling of motivation, do something with it. Think of the gym as your own stress free sanctuary. When you step in, you leave all stress, and negative thoughts at the front door, and when you walk out you feel excellent.
